Robert Baldwin joined Alexander Hughes in July 1994 to set up and manage a Selection business for this long-established Executive Search firm. His experience as a recruitment professional spans more than twenty years, including four years in senior human resources management with an international media and communications group, responsible for defining and implementing their resourcing strategy. An arts graduate, his early career was in Education where he held senior teaching posts before moving into industry in his early 30s. His focus as a business professional was on setting up and managing new enterprises, which prompted him to concentrate on senior general management, finance and sales & marketing appointments when he moved into executive recruitment in the 1980s

Functionally, he still specialises in general management, business development appointments and also recruits extensively for senior human resources specialist and generalist positions. His industry sector specialisations are financial services, media/communications and professional services.

Wayne Mason joined Alexander Hughes in 2005 to head up the Group's CFO practice across the corporate and financial services market. He has a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance as well as being a qualified FCCA accountant. He initially spent four years in a Chartered Accountancy Practice before moving into International Internal Audit and commercial finance roles with a global automotive and aerospace company. He moved into recruitment with the largest independent recruitment company in the UK nearly ten years ago, since when he has developed and run recruitment solutions for director and senior management roles across all sectors.

Functionally, he specialises in finance and all finance-related disciplines. His industry sector specialisations are financial services (incorporating investment and corporate banking, private equity, real estate and alternative investments) and retail/fmcg.

Micheline's previous experience in the fields of journalism and copywriting formed a strong base for her career in the practice of searching out the most appropriate communications professionals to fill pivotal posts within major organisations. Having worked within specialist communications search and selection firms over a number of years, she has constructed an extensive network of contacts and has ongoing relationships with the recognised experts within the communications arena.

Rachel developed her expertise in research and analysis from her degree and practice in Herbal Medicine. She has, in a relatively short period of time, gained a detailed knowledge and understanding of communications and its practitioners. She has had outstanding success in fulfilling clients' needs with candidates who meet the demands of their role and fit well with the organisational culture.

Bruce Freer joined Alexander Hughes early in 2008 as a senior member of the core Professional Services team in London. He holds two Degrees in Law, a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) Degree in Taxation, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. His experience since qualifying encompasses both senior management positions in industry and Partner level roles with leading professional services firms. Over a period of eleven years he held increasingly senior positions with a large, listed fashion retail group, culminating in appointment to the Senior Executive team. His experience with the leading professional services firms includes leadership roles in Audit and Tax with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young in South Africa, and he had some nine years experience with KPMG in Europe. The last seven of these were as a Partner in their Financial Services practice in Cologne. As a member of the European Professional Services team in Alexander Hughes, Bruce focuses on recruiting high calibre business leaders and functional specialists, primarily for the leading Financial Services and Professional Services organisations.
